Welcome to episode one hundred and seven of The Inspired Women Podcast. In today’s episode your host Megan Hall interviews Sara Hunold.
Sara Hunold is the founder and president of Freedom’s Ring a nonprofit that building community and an individual’s sense of community by uniting military families with extraordinary community members to do extraordinary acts for others. This all came about after husband, a Marine, received orders that moved them from southwest Arizona, Sara’s hometown) to the east end of Long Island 10 days after their second child was born. Together the decided it was best for Sara to leave teaching for the time being to be home with their then 15 month old and newborn and it was during this period of “staying home” that Sara really discovered her need for contribution, sense of community and greater purpose. Fulfilling these needs turned into the creation of Freedom’s Ring to help others proactively increase their own sense of community and personal contribution to the betterment of America.
