Ammie is a bi-racial, bi-sexual, non- binary, almost 42 year old raising their family in their hometown of Hampton Roads. Ammie has a background in geology but has never in their life been employed as a geologist. Instead, they have worked at the intersections of environment, community, and family life. Currently working with local non-profits Teens With A Purpose, the Creative ReUse Center, and the newly formed abortion fund, Hampton Roads Reproductive Justice League, Ammie’s focus
is reproductive justice, which covers all their passions: bodily autonomy for everyone and upbringing families in safe and sustainable communities.
