Anti-Poverty Advocacy Featuring Cynthia Levin

Welcome to The Inspired Women Podcast. On this episode your host Megan Hall interviews Cynthia Levin.

Cynthia is the author of the upcoming book “From Changing Diapers to Changing the World: Why Moms Make Great Advocates and How to Get Started.” She’s the mom of two teenage girls in St. Louis and involved in volunteer activism with organizations like CARE, the ONE Campaign, RESULTS, and Moms Demand Action to name a few. She is a rare breed of activist, working across a variety of issues with a non-partisan philosophy for 14 years. She visits congressional offices, trains volunteers, generates social media posts, and organizes action meetings. Cynthia writes the Anti-Poverty Mom Blog and has appeared in newspapers nationwide—including The New York Times and the Financial Times. She’s also been a guest blog contributor for World Moms Network, BabyCenter.com, and the UN Foundation’s Shot@Life Campaign.
