Welcome to Episode Thirty of The Inspired Women Podcast. In this episode your host Megan Hall interviews Tina Pennington founder of Beloved Haven.
Tina Pennington is the founder of Beloved Haven a faith-based organization that offers restorative care, free of cost to women coming out of sex trafficking. The ministry equips communities to identify, rescue and restore victims.
She has served in numerous community and ministry outreach programs such as Moyock Women’s Club, Girl Scouts as a group leader for several years, founder of Women Empowering Women, I Will Stand International as a board member, missionary and founder of Raised Hands for Africa.
Tina and her husband Dan own a small cafe called Pass the Salt in their community of Currituck, NC. They have been married for 25 years and are parents to 5 beautiful children.
Tina is an ordained minister and has been involved in women’s ministry locally and globally for 15 years. During her years in ministry she has encountered various forms of brokenness and defeat. Many of these stories are similar to her own. Having struggled herself in times of complete brokenness , seasons of deep depression and and a feeling of worthlessness for more than half her life. Wondering if she would ever be free from despair.
Her desire for women is that they will came to know that they are created for greatness and they are known, loved and cherished by God. Who created them with purpose and a destiny, no matter where they have been or what they have done.
