About The Podcast

In 2015 I was introduced to the world of podcasting. I remember marveling at how much amazing knowledge there was out there for free. All I had to do is download and listen. It wasn’t long before I decided some day I would have a podcast of my very own.

In Fall of 2016 with the help of Jules Clyde The Inspired Women Podcast was born. I mentioned to Jules that I wanted to start a podcast in 2017 and she quickly offered to help. We were soon able to create not only the name of the podcast but the mission as well. The mission is simple, to connect and inspire women worldwide through stories.

The Inspired Women Podcast first aired in January 2017 with Jules and I as co hosts of the podcast. It was definitely a learning curve and I am so thankful I had someone there to hold my hand. Unfortunately due to personal reasons Jules had to step down as co host you can hear about that in the Importance of Change.

The Inspired Women Podcast is where I connect my audience with inspirational cis and trans women, as well as non-binary people who are comfortable in a place that centers the experiences of women. My guests share their real stories. We don’t sugar coat things and we don’t beat around the bush. Several guests have said their podcast episode was the first time they shared that part of their journey publicly. I also chat about topics that are taboo like miscarriage, postpartum depression, mental illness, etc…

My goal with the podcast is to help change the world on story at a time. I don’t want any person to feel alone in their struggles. My hope is after listening to the podcast people will feel less alone and more inspired to advocate for change. This podcast is truly my passion project and I love every minute of it.

A little about me….

I am a graduate student and podcaster. As well as mom of four, spouse, fur mom to two beautiful kitties, mental health and human rights advocate, and a care bear stuck in a humans body. I believe in being transparent, kind, and genuine but I don’t sugar coat stuff. My favorite color is pink, I have a bit of a potty mouth and love glitter, I switched to the eco friendly kind to help the environment. Basically I am real, raw, and honest.

I really hope you enjoy the podcast. If you do please share it out with your friends and family. Don’t forget to leave us a review.
